Abstract:
Four new oxygenated acetylenic acids-8-oxo-octadeca-9,11-diynoic, 8-hydroxyoctadeca-10,12-diynoic, 8-oxo-octadeca-9,11-diyn-17-enoic and 8-hydroxyoctadeca-10,12-diyn-17-enoic acids and a saturated acid, 9L-hydroxyoctadecanoic acid (7a), were isolated for the 1st time from the seed oil of Ongokea gore (isano). Also isolated were the previously known 8-hydroxyoctadeca-9,11-diynoic and 8-hydroxyoctadeca-9,11-diyn-17-enoic (5a) (isanolic) acids. Structures were determined by PMR and 13C NMR and MS [mass spectra], and the absolute configurations of 5a and 7a have been established by ORD [optical rotary dispersion].
