Abstract:
Abstract: This report provides a descriptive evaluation of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Numerous tables contain a wide range of data such as the demographic characteristics of SFSP participants, reported food preferences of participants, operating costs per meal, and sources of SFSP funding. Topics of the report include: structure and operation of the program; descriptions of selected sites; program characteristics; income levels in SFSP service areas and the distribution of program services; meal service to participants; and program administration and costs.
